These Terms and Conditions (the 'Terms') govern your access to and use of the BuiltWorld AI Foundation website, research publications, briefings, advisory engagements, events, and membership programs (collectively, the 'Services'). By accessing or using any part of the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.
BuiltWorld AI is an independent, vendor-neutral research academy and global foundation studying the adoption of artificial intelligence across the built environment, including buildings, construction, urban systems, infrastructure, energy, and public services. All research, benchmarks, and advisory output are produced independently and are not endorsements of any vendor, product, or technology.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Services. By using the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
You agree to use the Services only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit any other party's use of the Services.
All research reports, briefings, frameworks, evaluation matrices, datasets, branding, logos, graphics, and other content made available through the Services are the property of BuiltWorld AI Foundation or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Subject to these Terms and any applicable membership or engagement agreement, BuiltWorld AI grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the content for your internal, non-commercial reference and decision-making. Republication, redistribution, resale, or use in commercial training datasets is prohibited without prior written consent.
Certain Services, including research membership, custom advisory engagements, executive briefings, and workshops, may be offered for a fee under separate order forms, statements of work, or membership agreements. Those documents, together with these Terms, govern your access. In the event of a conflict, the executed order form or membership agreement controls for the specific engagement.
Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated in your engagement documents. You are responsible for any applicable taxes.
BuiltWorld AI research is provided for informational and educational purposes. It is not investment advice, legal advice, procurement instruction, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or license any specific product or service. You are solely responsible for the decisions you make using the Services and should consult qualified professionals where appropriate.
The Services may reference or link to third party content, vendors, datasets, or websites. Such references do not constitute endorsement. BuiltWorld AI is not responsible for the accuracy, availability, or practices of third party resources.
If you submit feedback, survey responses, interview content, or other materials to BuiltWorld AI, you grant BuiltWorld AI a worldwide, royalty free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, and incorporate such submissions into research outputs in anonymized or aggregated form, unless a separate confidentiality agreement is in place.
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, share, and safeguard personal data. By using the Services, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.
The Services and all content are provided 'as is' and 'as available' without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, and non infringement. BuiltWorld AI does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BuiltWorld AI Foundation, its directors, employees, contributors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Services. The aggregate liability of BuiltWorld AI for any claim related to the Services shall not exceed the fees you paid to BuiltWorld AI, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BuiltWorld AI Foundation, its officers, employees, contributors, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to your use of the Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
BuiltWorld AI may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, for any conduct that BuiltWorld AI determines, in its sole discretion, is in violation of these Terms or harmful to other users, BuiltWorld AI, or third parties. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law.
BuiltWorld AI may revise these Terms from time to time. The 'Last Updated' date at the top of this page indicates when the Terms were most recently changed. Continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
